she's got her whole ass sticking up in the air : get은 사역동사로서 목적어 뒤에 동명사가 와도 됨,

stick up은 불쑥 튀어오르다를 의미.

 

hull's not desinged to deal with that pressure : not designed to : 한계를 명시할 때 좋은 표현인듯.

deal with은 여기서 감당하다 정도로 의미.
